This workshop is an overview of enameling on steel, specifically the use of liquid form enamel on found or fabricated steel surfaces. Students will complete a series of jewelry or small sculpture.
This workshop will deal with copper, silver, and gold in various thicknesses. Students will learn to layer them onto pre-enameled surfaces while adding transparent enamels for maximum depth. Proper techniques for tooling and firing each of the foils will be emphasized.
